I was expecting a "the episode differs from that shown in most listings" on Channel 4 but they screened Carry on up the Khyber. Yes its not very PC anyway but it contains the 3rd Foot and Mouth Regiment. Congrats to Channel 4 for being fearless!
* If I'd said PC you'd have thought it was a Mac post

Google searches for the festival are fruitful but most of the results are for past years and it isn't that clear what is on. The paper guides as usual swamp you. Yes you Guardian special guide.
I saw Binari (Dulsori Korean drummers) who were extremely good. The drumming went to a level that was out of a film like Hero. At one point, the performers were in enclaves surrounded on 3 sides by drums and were bent over backwards hitting drums in front and behind. The double ended drums required wrist movements that made me wince. The 10 people in front of me recording and photographing on cheap digital cameras and cam phones are wasting their time, the bass was overloading my ears let alone a cheap mic. The female performer with a great voice and coloured cuffs (as opposed to the uniform black) was superior. Like bad modern comedy they wanted a lot of audience participation. Clapping:ok. Chanting: ok. Some weird congo line that threatened to leave the venue: pass. The end of show public service messages were hilarious Ingleesh (yes better than my Korean). There were other Flickr members there so I'll let them and the others document it with enough photos to flick together to make a low frame rate movie. The Binari link at the top has You Tube vids.
